In early December 2018, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ)––the most outspoken ethical vegan in Congress––expressed his support for Encompass.

In his personalized video for us, Sen. Booker states:

I am happy about Encompass’ mission, because we know all great movements for social justice, for social change, have been successful because of their diversity.

Whether it's women's rights or the civil rights movement, when they reflect the beauty and the diversity of America they are so much stronger.

And so we need diversity in every great effort, and indeed animal welfare—something that people believe about whether they're vegans or not—so we need to make this movement as inclusive as possible.

And so I'm proud of Encompass’ mission of inclusion and the mission of a broader, more humane ideal of justice. May God bless you in what you're doing. I wish you the best and thank you.

We’re thrilled that Senator Booker shares our vision for a more racially diverse, equitable, and inclusive animal protection movement. If our mission speaks to you then join us too!

Thanks to VegNews and Lady FreeThinker for covering Senator Booker’s support.
